Alison Macdonald

Experience

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts (4-year) in Criminology at Simon Fraser University in 1999. I then went on to Queen’s University where I obtained my Juris Doctorate Law in 2003.

I also returned to Simon Fraser to study Business Administration where I obtained my Graduate Diploma in 2006.

I opened my law office shortly thereafter which has now been assisting clients in their family and criminal law matters for over 20 years.

I continue to help my clients navigate difficult circumstances related to family and criminal law. I always aim to help my clients reach a settlement, but I enjoy advocating for them in the courtroom, if needed.

Clients need to be reminded that litigation “isn’t a tea party.”  It is ugly, stressful, painful, and brings out the very worst in people.  There is no room for entitlement in litigation.  I look for clients who are rooted in logic, honesty, and act in good faith.  I will assist clients with strategizing their file but, in the end, the client’s life will be forever changed once litigation commences in any form.
